CC,
Just back and busy for preparing Lunar NY.
Tasmania is great for exploring natural life!Hobart is quite windy,we wore winter jackets but for Launceston is very very hot.My husband got sunburn on hands.
I like hotel in Hobert...it is very very beautiful!!!The resturant you recommanded is a good place to eat seafood! It is very very easy to drive in both Hobart and Launceston. We didnt really read details on ur car route, but follow road signs and able to get to places. We also stopped at Dunalley Fish Market to get some fish and chip right before heading to Port Arthur.
For Launceston, it is not as interesting as in Hobart, I guess I may go back to Hobart some time for vacation but not Launceston. We love Cateract Gorge, very worthy to go there. We found Easton painting in Sherfield. Cradle Mountain.....I felt very moody coz a lot of flies and mosquitoes always sticking around, made us so annoying!!!We did saw many little penguins in Low Head.We were in very close distance with penguins. My husband likes the cottage stay so much....!!!!It is of coz not luxury accomodation, but was definite special experience to stay in there. My husband was also interested to stay in those canavan parks if have chance in future.
We didnt go to Seahorse and Platypus Museum, instead, we went Lavender farm...um.....not as beatiful as those in Japan, AUS5 admission, but since we have no interests in learning seahorse and platypus stuff.
All in all, Tasmania ppl are very nice, and there is a very peaceful place. Let me organising pictures and share with you later. Happy Lunar NY and all the best.
Joyce
